Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate should have at least 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic with expertise in Liebherr and Link-Belt machinery. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of service technicians to ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of service technicians to ensure timely and quality service to customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met.
  • Manage and maintain service schedules to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Ensure all service work is completed safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including Liebherr and Link-Belt machinery.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels of parts and supplies.
  • Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts for the service department.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for service technicians.
  • Participate in recruitment and hiring of new service technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic with expertise in Liebherr and Link-Belt machinery.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading a team of service technicians.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred.
