A bit about us:
Full time opportunity for Sheet Metal – Technical Leader role in Palm Bay, FL. This role involves developing all products to support operations and approving documents for new development and production hardware requiring sheet metal fabrication, forming, and deburring. Additionally, Technical Leaders collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, and comprehensive operator training and development.

- Install hardware such as bolts, nuts, screws, rivets, nut plates, and other components according to customer specifications, engineering drawings, or work orders.
- Remove burrs and polish various material types.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, contributing to the Shapes 6S program and Lean concepts.
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Perform tasks safely and reasonably as outlined in the Shapes Employee Handbook.
- Set up machines to form and cut materials using press brakes, presses, and shears, following operation process sheets or drawings.
- Utilize and understand operation process sheets, inspecting parts per character control sheets.
- Assist in training sheet metal operators in all aspects of the job.
- Perform any other related duties as required.

- Proficient in sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
- Skilled in sheet metal forming, riveting, and swedging (collapsing metal for proper fit).
- Experienced in calculating sheet metal bend allowances.
- Hands-on experience operating sheet metal brake presses.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
