SMT Process Lead

Title: SMT Process Lead
Compensation: $70k-$90k/year (depending on experience)
Location: West Melbourne, FL

Responsibilities:

• Develop and organize daily work schedules, assignments, and production plans to achieve production goals.
• Set up and operate SMT production lines, including stencil printers, pick and place machines, and ovens.
• Identify and lead projects focused on process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Implement and maintain Lean practices, including 5S, waste elimination, built-in quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure a safe working environment by utilizing safe working methods and addressing unsafe conditions.
• Monitor and ensure the quality and workmanship of the team to meet product specifications.
• Manage and complete all necessary documentation and daily reports, including job travelers and Epicor transactions.
• Program and debug SMT equipment.
• Support continuous improvement activities and assist in maintaining the calibration of testing/inspection equipment.

What you need for this position:

• Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Extensive experience with PCBA production equipment.
• Skilled in manipulating ODB++ files for programming.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and organized.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Experienced in using basic hand tools and battery-operated tools.
• Competent in maintaining and repairing small tools and equipment.
