We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals across all age groups, helping them overcome communication and swallowing disorders. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, your responsibilities will include:
1. Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
2. Treating speech, language, and communication disorders through tailored therapy plans.
3. Providing training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.
4. Working in a multidisciplinary team to cover all aspects of patient care.
5. Keeping comprehensive and accurate records of patient diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
6. Implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and working collaboratively with teachers and school staff.
7. Using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other technology to enhance communication.
8. Maintaining patient confidentiality and following all federal and state health privacy laws.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
3. A certificate of clinical competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and diagnose patient conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
6. Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including electronic health records systems and speech-language pathology software.
7. A compassionate and patient-centered approach, with the ability to provide emotional support to patients and families.
