Sr Accountant

A global language service provider and the world’s leading communication servicer for Deaf and hard-of-hearing people is looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join their corporate accounting group.

Job Summary
Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting will report directly to the Senior Manager of Accounting and will be responsible for supporting various accounting processes. He or she will work closely with the Senior Manager of Accounting to complete tasks for month-end close as well as internal and external reporting. This person will be an integral part of the Finance & Accounting group and will assist with special accounting projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts in preparation of month-end close
• Prepare entries in accordance with GAAP
• Identify, implement, and perform key SOX controls for his or her respective area
• Assist with research on technical accounting issues and document findings in accounting memorandums
• Identify and implement process efficiencies for his or her respective area
• Manage interactions with external auditors and review deliverables prior to submission
• Assist with updating accounting policies
• Provide support during internal and external audits
• Assist with training new team members
• Assists with the preparation of financial reports
• Perform other related duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Education
Minimum: B.B.A.
Preferred: CPA

Experience
Minimum Years of Experience: 4+ years of experience in accounting.
