Required Skills:
- Analyze costs of materials, labor, and overhead associated with production.
- Maintain existing complex, Excel based cost models, including updating yield rates, bills of material, labor workflows and rates.
- Collaborate with Operations and Procurement to gather and organize data related to product costing.
- Collaborate with Sales to provide product cost analysis in support of pricing of new and existing business.
- Prepare and present detailed cost reports, including cost variance analysis.
- Create weekly and monthly Cost Model reports for ingestion into the Data Warehouse
- Perform the valuation of the monthly physical inventory count according to proscribed methodologies and create related reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement internal controls to ensure accurate cost reporting and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Operations teams to ensure cost-related data is accurate.
- Work with Operations and Procurement departments to monitor and reduce operational costs.
- Suggest cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Help identify inefficiencies within the cost structure and propose solutions
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) from a four-year College or University in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field; or five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education
- Advanced Excel skills including, but not limited to, Tables, Pivot Tables and complex multi-function formulas.
- Ability to communicate complex cost and financial information to non-Finance stakeholders across the organization.
- Experience with multi-input / multi-output production workflows and related cost implications.
- Experience in manufacturing is required; experience in food processing/production is preferred.
