Job Details

Education & Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BSEE) or higher
Significant hands on experience (Design, Development, Prototyping, Bench/Field Testing, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing electrical systems and products
An ability to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies
Experienced teamwork in the formulation, design, development, modification, implementation, calibration, and field deployment of advanced electronic measurement and instrumentation systems or other ground systems, or subsystems for laboratory, aero, or space flight systems.
Experience with Electro Optics, Sensor or Weapons systems preferred
Experience with full life cycle development.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues that arise during testing.

Major Responsibilities

Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods, techniques and processes which validate these capabilities..
Develops electrical products, subsystems and systems by implementing customer requirements..
Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components and soliciting information from testing operators.
Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods to verify requirements and testing finished products to evaluate if system capabilities meet requirements.
Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures for calibration..
Maintains product data bases by writing computer programs and entering data.
