The successful candidate will have a strong background in the electrical field construction and the ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects or services. Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
2. Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
3. Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
4. Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
5. Present prepared estimates to stakeholders, including detailed reports or bids for business decision-making.
6. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
7. Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
8. Keep track of the latest industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical estimation, and apply this knowledge to improve internal processes.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in Electrical Estimating or a related field.
2. Proven experience in the construction industry, specifically in the electrical field construction.
3. Proficient knowledge of estimating software and financial software.
4. Excellent understanding of electrical construction processes.
5. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
6. Ability to read and understand electrical plans and specifications.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. Strong attention to detail, with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
10. Professional Estimator Certification (PEC) will be an added advantage.
