Job Details

  • Using deep learning, machine learning, pattern recognition and image analysis techniques to create solutions aimed on recognizing structure, anatomy and pathology in medical images (dominant focus on CT and MRI anatomical and functional images.)
  • Design, development and evaluation of state-of-the art and innovative ML models for recognizing features and structures in medical images, including detection of imaging and reconstruction artifacts, and anomaly detection.
  • Interacting with product management team, clinical experts and customers to understand the clinical need, desired for improved function, processing speed and clinical accuracy, and helping aid them in implementation of DL/ML algorithms to solve diagnostic and treatment decision challenges.
  • Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of collected imaging data to help automate and optimize key processes in medical device product development.
  • Working closely with research, development, engineering, quality engineering and regulatory affairs team to to drive product creation, improvements, regulatory approval and delivery to customers.

You should know some of the following:
  • Hands-on experience with medical image processing and medical image analysis
  • Experience with using machine-learning (ML) and deep-learning techniques (DL)
  • Experience specifically with deep learning (e.g., CNN, RNN, YOLO, LSTM, etc.)
  • Python or C++ for ML expertise, in concert with Tensorflow / Keras / Pytorch, etc. for both ML models training and inference
  • Knowledge of deep learning, machine learning and statistics
  • Experience in leading and mentoring more junior colleagues
  • Strong proficiency with Linux and cloud development environments (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
  • Experience with medical device development and/or regulatory affairs processes and approvals (FDA 510k) is a plus
