Are you a passionate numbers guru with a knack for accuracy and detail? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? If so, we are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role will be pivotal in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. This includes bank reconciliation, general ledger reconciliations, month-end reporting, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with large amounts of data, and has a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
As the Permanent Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
2. Conduct month-end and year-end closings and prepare relevant reports.
3. Reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and correcting any discrepancies.
4. Prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
5. Assist with financial and tax audits.
6. Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team.
7. Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
8. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
9. Maintain prepaid expenses, accruals, and amortization schedules.
10. Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
4. Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
5. Experience with financial reporting and general ledger structure.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Experience with an accounting software system is preferred.
