Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Excel, GL Accounting, Reconciliations, AP, and AR. As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare monthly financial statements
• Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Manage and reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
• Assist with annual audits and tax filings
• Review and analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies or errors
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Excel, GL Accounting, Reconciliations, AP, and AR
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Experience in the Construction industry is a plus
