Staff Accountant

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of our financial procedures, including but not limited to account reconciliation, financial accounting, maintaining the general ledger, and managing accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
• Review and improve accounting procedures, and ensure that they are in compliance with federal and state laws.
• Implement and adhere to internal controls while also checking for compliance.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate and timely information to senior management.
• Coordinate with tax accountants to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
• Utilize QuickBooks, Bill.com, and other financial software to streamline accounting functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, and other financial software.
• Excellent skills in account reconciliation, financial accounting, maintaining the general ledger, and managing accounts payable.
• Strong skills in bank reconciliation and proficiency in managing detailed, complex financial information.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Proactive in identifying problems and diligent in resolving them.
