Staff/Senior Accountant

We are a multi facility healthcare practice focusing on pain management utilizing up and coming technology and service.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff and Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Healthcare industry. You will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the organization, including month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end closing process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including reviewing and approving invoices, processing payments, and reconciling accounts.
• Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, forecasting, and trend analysis.
• Provide financial support to other departments, including preparing financial models and conducting financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and assist in the development of new policies and procedures as needed.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and financial statements.
• Assist in the preparation of tax filings, including sales tax, use tax, and property tax.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
