We are seeking an experienced, driven, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Storeroom & Inventory Control Supervisor. This role is an integral part of our food manufacturing operations, ensuring that our storeroom runs efficiently and that our inventory is controlled and optimized. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the storeroom staff, managing all inventory control activities, and working closely with the purchasing department to maintain adequate stock levels. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage all storeroom activities, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
2. Oversee inventory control, implementing strategies to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize inventory turnover.
3. Work closely with the purchasing department to maintain adequate stock levels and ensure that all necessary materials are available for production.
4. Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
5. Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
6. Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring that all orders are accurate and delivered on time.
7. Train, guide, and evaluate storeroom staff to improve performance and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
8. Collaborate with other departments to forecast future inventory needs.
9. Monitor and report on storeroom and inventory metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
10. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements in the storeroom.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a storeroom, inventory control, or related role in the food manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with purchase orders, purchasing, and inventory control.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for storerooms in the manufacturing industry.
10. A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
