We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Accounts Manager to join our team within the manufacturing industry. This role will be responsible for managing key accounts, maintaining a long-term relationship with accounts and maximizing sales opportunities within them. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our business' growth and success. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with a team that is committed to their work and delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies and lead nationwide direct and indirect sales personnel toward achievement of corporate sales objectives.

2. Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.

3. Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.

4. Provide sales management, budget control, compensation programs and incentive planning.

5. Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development, and retention of sales staff.

6. Proactively identify changes in the industry, delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.

7. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.

8. Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.

9. Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.

10. Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.

11. Understand and manage all phases of the sales pipeline.

12. Participate in regular structured sales training programs to improve sales performance.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of successful sales management experience is required.

2. Proven ability to develop and implement a sales strategy and effectively manage a sales team.

3. Experience with JIT programs, cost analysis, SWOT, metals, and foils.

4. Proven ability to interact effectively with customers and expand product applications.

5. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

6. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.

7. Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative and highly team-oriented environment.

8. Excellent leadership, strategic, and planning skills.

9. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

10. Proficiency in forecasting and business reporting.

11. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
