Job Summary:
As a Structural and Mechanical Engineer , you will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and overseeing the manufacturing of metal products and components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure the integrity, safety, and functionality of our products. Your expertise in heavy metals, structural analysis, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes will be essential in driving our projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics for metal products, considering structural integrity, mechanical functionality, and manufacturing feasibility.
Perform structural analysis and simulations to ensure products meet safety and performance standards, considering factors such as load distribution, stress, strain, and deformation.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to refine concepts and optimize designs for efficient production while maintaining quality.
Participate in product development meetings, providing technical insights and recommendations to enhance design and manufacturing processes.
Conduct material selection and evaluation for optimal performance, longevity, and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee the manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring that products are fabricated accurately and in line with engineering specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and structural issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate wiring and electronic components into metal products when required.
Stay current with industry trends, new materials, and manufacturing techniques to drive continuous improvement in our product offerings.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in designing and analyzing metal structures and components, with a focus on heavy metals and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for creating detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
Strong understanding of structural analysis tools and techniques, as well as familiarity with simulation software.
Knowledge of materials selection, metallurgy, and their applications in various industries.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and effective communication skills.
Familiarity with electrical wiring integration into mechanical systems is a plus.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve design and manufacturing challenges.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
