Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Raleigh NC. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and building technologies integration, with a deep understanding of structured cabling, audio visual, and network solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements sales strategies to penetrate multiple vertical markets (e.g. education, health care, industrial and commercial buildings) to drive sales growth and expand the customer base.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and partners in the industry.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop proposals to win new projects.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement structured cabling and network solutions.
  • Proactively communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required.
  • Translates a wide variety of customer needs / requirements requiring originality and ingenuity into detailed proposals and project plans to meet Customer requirements; reviews and approves estimated costs prior to bid; change proposals, assists with collections on projects.
  • Identifies potential project risks and develops/implements strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Proactively communicates project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with customer and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manages the execution and review of all scope of work, terms and conditions in customer contracts including cost control, delivery fulfillment, and quality of service and other customer requirements as they arise.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network with peers and promote the company's products and services.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales and electrical construction, with a focus on structured cabling and network solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Audio Visual, Structured Cabling and Network Solutions integration.
  • Experience with technologies like Extron, Crestron, Biamp, Control4, Prowatch, Exacq, Allegion, Panduit, Amika, Ascom, Salient, Avigilon, Brivo, Cornell, Verint, Interlogix, Lynx, Versus, Savant, Biamp, Harman, Samsung, Visio, AMX, Cisco, Mersive, QSC, QSYS, DMC, etc.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications like Microsoft Office, QuoteWerks, Salesforce, Sales Logix, Pro Tools, Netsuite, and others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Industry certifications like AVIXA CTS or BICSI are strongly preferred.
