A bit about us:

We're an industrial boiler and mechanical contractor working with pulp & paper and process industries. We specialize in boiler maintenance, repair and retrofits and have performed over 1000 boiler outages and emergencies since our start-up in 2002. We are authorized to perform repair of boilers and pressure vessels (NBIC "R" Stamp), manufacture pressure vessels (ASME "U" Stamp), manufacture and assemble power boilers (ASME "S" Stamp), and authorized to register boilers and pressure vessels with the National Board "NB". We offer flexible and personal service to our clients. Projects range from $50,000 shutdowns to equipment retrofits and new construction in excess of $10,000,000.

Duties:

  • Establish and oversee an on-site culture of safety first. Enforce company / client policies.
  • Provide direction and coordination, within budget and schedule, for 5-150 employees through job completion:
  • Direct your crews per client scope: work is around-the-clock and time sensitive.
  • Work with Project Managers to update cost and schedule daily.
  • Manage onsite personnel, subcontractors, and equipment logistics.
  • Communicate progress reports, change orders, and schedule to client personnel.
  • Provide foreman / secondary supervision and craft roles (boilermakers, welders, support labor). Size of your crew per job will vary. We are a non-union company.
  • During an interview, you would be asked how many people you could recruit at any one time for a project.
  • Attend walkdowns and build relationships with clients in between jobs.

Ideal Background:
  • Minimum of 5 years as a superintendent or general foreman in construction and maintenance of boilers. Experience with pulp and paper mills and / or recovery boilers is a plus but not a requirement.
  • General knowledge of ASME and NBIC codes, specifically boiler and pressure vessels.
  • General knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
  • General understanding of rigging, no engineering background necessary.
  • General understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project is helpful but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, initiative, and construction background.
