Job Details

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction operations from initial planning to project completion. Key duties include daily scheduling, site supervision, and maintaining safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants during project planning to secure permits and approvals.
Work with the Project Manager to create and maintain construction schedules, including critical path sequencing.
Lead field supervision, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Manage material flow and workforce access to work areas.
Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring subcontractor compliance.
Facilitate weekly subcontractor meetings to review progress and plan future work.
Oversee inspections to ensure code compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
Report and resolve any site conflicts, non-compliance, or progress issues with management.
Keep daily logs of site activities, addressing deficiencies and issuing non-compliance notices when necessary.
Meet regularly with management to track project progress, budgets, and schedules.
Assist in budgeting, bidding, and contract awarding to subcontractors and vendors.
Physical Demands:

Requires both indoor and outdoor work on construction sites.
Physical tasks include standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Long periods of sitting may be required during meetings or paperwork.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of commercial or government construction experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software tools.
Valid driver's license and ability to pass government background checks.
