We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax/Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a significant role in our fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting. Experience with Quickbooks is a must. The Tax/Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing our company's tax planning, ensuring compliance with tax laws, preparing tax returns, and managing our accounting team. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensure all payments are completed on time (including accounts payable and bank deposits).
  • Coordinate with our IT team to manage financial systems and to ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • CPA certification is required or plan for CPA exam.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software such as Quickbooks.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  • Proven experience as a tax manager, public accountant, or similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
  • Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.
  • Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Analytical skills with detail orientation.
