Tax Senior - Financial Services

We are a large award winning regional public accounting firm that was founded over 50 years ago and have been one of the fastest-growing CPA firm in the US. We have several offices across the east coast and mid-west and continue to expand into new states and cities. Currently, we're looking for a Tax Senior with experience working with Hedge Funds and clients within the financial services industry.

What you'll be doing....

• Oversee hedge fund tax compliance engagements for clients with appropriate consideration of risk, operational, and tax technical issues
• Research of tax legislation and explaining the impact to asset management clients is required as part of your contribution to tax consulting projects

What you'll need...

• Bachelor's Degree required in related field
• CPA preferred or qualifications completed to pursue CPA 
• 2+ years of progressive experience at a public accounting firm  
• Experience in preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns and Schedules K-1 and K-3
• Experience with computing taxable income and partnership allocations for private funds
• Basic knowledge of wash sales, straddles, carried interest and incentive allocations
• Some knowledge of distribution waterfall
