We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Senior to join our dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional who is looking to grow their career in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance and advisory work for a diverse portfolio of clients, including high net worth individuals, small businesses, and S-corporations.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and review of complex individual, small business and partnership tax returns.
2. Provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients, working closely with them to understand their business and personal tax situations.
3. Manage relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and developing and strengthening relationships as a trusted tax advisor.
4. Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings and incentives, including Research Tax Credits.
5. Collaborate with the Tax Manager and other team members on tax projects and initiatives.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies and initiatives to optimize client's tax positions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation and advisory services, with a focus on high net worth individuals, small businesses, and S-corporations.
3. Proven experience in preparing individual, business, and partnership tax returns.
4. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
5. Experience in researching and applying tax credits, specifically Research Tax Credits.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax laws and provide appropriate tax solutions.
8. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
