Job Details

We are looking to hire an "entry level" staff accountant. We want someone that is eligible to sit for the CPA exam and has an interest in doing so in the not-too-distant future.

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of state tax accounting.
  • Must meet productivity standards set by Tax Compliance Manager.
  • Works with CCH Axcess/ProSystem.
  • Prepares state tax returns for partnerships, trusts, individuals, and corporations.
  • Works with efiling and electronic payments.
  • Provides assistance with correspondence related to state notices, audits, and inquiries.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
  • Must have exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates regular punctual attendance and adheres to policies and procedures.
  • Required to be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Receives instructions, prioritizes tasks, and completes duties assigned by manager.
  • Performs all duties following organizational chain of command.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must present a professional office appearance.
  • Ability to move around office, sitting for long periods of time, and ability to lift 10 lbs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Two years’ + experience in tax compliance.
  • Must have proficient ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines.
  • Excellent ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
