Transportation Manager / Bridge Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic Transportation Manager / Bridge Project Manager for a leader in the Precast Industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. This role also involves the management of bridge projects, including planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the daily operations of the transportation department, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.
2. Develop and implement strategic transportation plans to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
3. Conduct load calculations and route navigation to optimize fleet usage.
4. Manage the dispatch process, ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Lead bridge project management activities, including planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
6. Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
7. Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
8. Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
9. Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
10. Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
2. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Transportation Manager or Bridge Project Manager.
3. Proven experience in project management and transportation management.
4. Strong knowledge of load calculations, route navigation, and fleet management.
5. Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
8. Proficiency in using project management software.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
10. Must be detail-oriented and have a strong focus on accuracy.
