We are currently looking for a Traveling Superintendent to join our growing team. This superintendent will be a part of major projects with locations in Minnesota or North Carolina The projects we are hiring for are for a large distribution center, experience with distribution centers, MEP, and concrete is highly desired.. Ideally after these projects are finished this role would continue to travel or relocate to upstate New York or Florida. Are you a seasoned construction professional with a passion for travel? We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team. This unique role combines the thrill of travel with the satisfaction of overseeing and managing construction projects. You will be working on a variety of projects, primarily focusing on distribution centers across the country. With a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Superintendent, your expertise will be crucial in driving our projects to success.

Responsibilities:
As a Traveling Superintendent, your core responsibilities will include:

1. Supervising all construction activities related to assigned projects, ensuring all operations are executed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
2. Traveling extensively across the country to manage projects, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
3. Coordinating and directing the functions and activities of subcontractors, suppliers, labor, and equipment needed for the project.
4. Ensuring all construction operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
5. Communicating and enforcing safety regulations on the job site to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all personnel.
6. Providing leadership and maintaining effective and harmonious working relationships with the on-site staff and promoting a positive project morale.
7. Keeping the Project Manager informed of progress and any adjustment needed in the field to ensure the successful completion of the project.
8. Preparing and submitting daily reports, maintaining records of all site activities, inspections, work orders, and materials used.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Traveling Superintendent role should have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
2. Prior experience in managing the construction of distribution centers is highly desirable.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and building codes.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
6. Proficient in using construction management software and other computer applications.
7. Willingness to travel extensively for long periods.
8. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
9. Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
