The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex trust and estate cases, including Wills, Estate, Fiduciary, Probate, 1031 Exchange, and Trust. Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice and support on a wide range of trust and estate matters, including the drafting and review of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
2. Handle probate and trust administration matters, including the preparation of probate court filings and estate tax returns.
3. Advise on 1031 Exchange transactions and other real estate matters in connection with estate planning and administration.
4. Provide fiduciary advice to trustees and personal representatives, including the interpretation of trust and will provisions, trust reformations, and modifications.
5. Negotiate, draft, and review complex estate planning documents and agreements to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
6. Collaborate with other team members and departments to provide holistic estate planning services to our clients.
7. Stay updated on the latest developments in estate and trust law and apply this knowledge to the benefit of our clients.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with at least 5 years of experience in trust and estate law.
3. Proven experience in handling complex trust and estate cases, including Wills, Estate, Fiduciary, Probate, 1031 Exchange, and Trust.
4. Strong knowledge of real estate and mortgage laws.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and understandable manner.
6. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong ethical and professional standards.
