Unlawful Detainer Department Manager (Attorney)
📍 In-Office | Southern California

We are a dynamic and client-focused law firm serving a broad spectrum of clients—from individuals involved in personal injury matters to real estate developers, contractors, engineers, architects, and property owners and tenants across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. We are currently seeking a seasoned Unlawful Detainer Department Manager to lead and grow our UD practice.

About the Role
As the Unlawful Detainer Department Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our unlawful detainer operations, including trial, discovery, pleadings, and lockout processes. This is a hands-on, in-office leadership role that requires deep expertise in Southern California rent stabilization and just cause eviction ordinances. You will also represent clients in court as needed and ensure the department operates with efficiency, compliance, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the firm’s unlawful detainer department, including oversight of trial, discovery, pleadings, and lockout teams
Provide strategic legal guidance on complex UD matters
Represent clients in court proceedings as necessary
Ensure compliance with all applicable rent stabilization and eviction laws in Southern California
Collaborate with firm leadership to improve workflows and client service
Mentor and support junior attorneys and legal staff
Qualifications
Must be licensed to practice law in California
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Minimum 7+ years of experience in unlawful detainer litigation
Extensive knowledge of Southern California rent stabilization and just cause eviction ordinances
Proven leadership and team management experience
Strong litigation, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment
Commitment to in-office collaboration—this is not a remote position
