Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Utility Engineer to join our dynamic team in the environmental industry. As a Utility Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the stormwater, environmental, chemical, and wastewater systems of our clients organization. You will be required to have a minimum of 0-5 years of experience (entry level potential) in this field and possess a strong understanding of the engineering principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure the efficient and effective management of stormwater, environmental, chemical, and wastewater systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the utility systems to ensure their optimal functioning.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members in the organization regarding the utility systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes related to the utility systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with utility vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement of the utility systems to enhance their performance and reduce costs.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the utility systems, ensuring that they are aligned with the overall financial objectives of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 0-5 years of experience in engineering.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of stormwater, environmental, chemical, and wastewater systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and codes related to the utility systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
