We are seeking a Sr. Research Associate to join our preclinical team to coordinate and manage external pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) studies. This would be a great opportunity for someone with technical pharmacokinetics skills who wants to move out of a lab-based setting and apply their learned skills to PK CRO management. This is a hybrid position in Brisbane, CA or Watertown, MA.

Job Details

Responsibilities & Duties:

Communicating and partnering with CROs on all aspects of outsourced pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies including study set-up, logistics (e.g., compound shipment, timeline management), protocol drafting, execution, data review, report writing, and study close-out
Researching and proposing in vitro and in vivo pharmacokinetic study designs to answer project questions
Tracking budget and managing finance interactions for all outsourced pharmacokinetic studies
Summarizing and disseminating data to key stakeholders and project teams
Uploading and managing data on our cloud-based data repository (Dotmatics)
Organizing and maintaining a study tracking database
Managing and archiving study documents

Qualifications & Skills:

BS or MS in a life sciences discipline (biology, PK, chemistry)
3+ years of experience working in a pharmaceutical industrial setting, most of that in a technical capacity in a PK department
Demonstrated keen organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in reading and understanding in vitro and in vivo PK protocols and reports and providing critical feedback
Highly effective interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment with scientists internally and those at our CRO partners
Self-motivated and scientifically driven individual determined to succeed.
Adaptability and excitement for working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing start-up environment
Preferred: experience working on CNS programs and understanding of preferred physicochemical properties for drugs crossing the blood-brain barrier
