We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP Finance to lead our financial operations within the pharmaceutical industry. The VP Finance will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations as they relate to the company. They will be a hands-on and participative manager and will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: finance, business planning and budgeting, financial analysis, and financial risk management.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee, direct, and manage the company's financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and risk management.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies and systems that align with the company's overall business strategy and objectives.
3. Lead the FP&A team to provide critical financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team for decision making.
4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
5. Present and report accurate and timely historical financial information to the company’s board members, stakeholders, and executive team.
6. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and manage the preparation of management reports.
7. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
8. Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
9. Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
3. Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Financial Analysis.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
5. Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
6. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
7. Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
8. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, as well as experience in managing and communicating with stakeholders and investors.
9. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
