Job Details
The Vice President of Beverage will be responsible for leading and overseeing the entire beverage program across multiple locations, with a strong emphasis on upscale lounges and bars. This role will require a strategic leader with a passion for beverage innovation, operational excellence, and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be a visionary who can inspire and manage teams, cultivate relationships with suppliers, and ensure consistency in delivering high-quality beverages that align with the brand’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Oversee all beverage operations across the company’s bars and restaurants, with a primary focus on upscale lounges and cocktail bars.
Develop and execute the beverage strategy to enhance guest experience, increase revenue, and elevate the brand's reputation.
Drive innovation in the beverage offerings, ensuring a unique and exciting menu of cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages that reflect current trends and guest preferences.
Maintain high standards of quality control and consistency across all locations, ensuring beverage preparation and presentation align with company expectations.
Team Development & Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop the beverage management team to ensure the successful execution of beverage programs.
Recruit and train staff to ensure a high level of service, product knowledge, and mixology expertise.
Cultivate a positive work culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and guest-focused service.
Financial Oversight & Budget Management:
Develop and manage the beverage department’s budget, ensuring cost control while maintaining quality and profitability.
Analyze beverage sales data and identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
Create and manage pricing strategies that maximize revenue while remaining competitive within the market.
Vendor & Supplier Relationships:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with beverage suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers to ensure access to top-tier products.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms and high-quality inventory.
Marketing & Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop beverage promotions, events, and seasonal offerings that drive customer engagement and sales.
Ensure beverage menus and offerings are updated regularly to maintain freshness and excitement.
Compliance & Health & Safety:
Ensure that all beverage operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health codes, alcohol service laws, and workplace safety standards.
Oversee the maintenance of inventory and equipment, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Experience:
10+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing beverage operations, preferably within high-end restaurants or bars.
Proven track record of managing and executing beverage programs, with experience working in upscale lounges or similar environments.
Strong understanding of mixology, wine, spirits, and the latest trends in beverage offerings.
Skills & Abilities:

Deep knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
