Job Details

We are seeking an experienced VP of Estimating with a minimum of 8 years of expertise in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of concrete structures and related cost-estimating techniques. They will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for concrete projects, including high-rise buildings, infrastructure, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to accurately determine the scope of work.
Prepare comprehensive concrete cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Conduct quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate pricing and cost control.
Analyze bids and proposals from subcontractors to assess competitiveness.
Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary to reflect changes in scope or design.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and concrete materials.

Qualifications:
At least 8 years of experience in concrete estimating or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of concrete construction, including foundations, slabs, structural systems, and finishing.
Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and market conditions.
Managing a team of 3-4 estimators.

Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial concrete projects.
