We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Wage & Hour Attorney to join our team. This role is integral to our company's success, providing expert legal advice and representation in the area of wage and hour law. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes cases, and to make a significant impact on behalf of our clients. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in employment law, trial work, business litigation, plaintiff representation, and mediation.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert legal counsel and representation on wage and hour matters.
2. Develop and implement effective legal strategies for complex cases.
3. Represent clients in court, including presenting evidence, cross-examining witnesses, and delivering closing arguments.
4. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution settings.
5. Conduct thorough and detailed investigations into wage and hour violations.
6. Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
7. Stay updated on developments in wage and hour law and related areas.
8. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
9. Provide advice and counsel to clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks related to wage and hour matters.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Current license to practice law in the state.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on employment law, trial work, business litigation, plaintiff representation, and mediation.
4. Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and regulations.
5. Proven ability to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
6. Excellent trial advocacy skills, including the ability to present evidence, cross-examine witnesses, and deliver persuasive closing arguments.
7. Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successful settlements in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution settings.
8. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders.
