We are searching for a dedicated and experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Water Resources Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, managing, and implementing water resource projects aimed at managing stormwater supplies, controlling floods, and improving the quality of water. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about the environment, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct research, design, and implement water resource projects such as stormwater management, green infrastructure, and water distribution systems.
2. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain mapping, and geospatial analysis.
3. Develop and implement water resource planning and strategies.
4. Perform water quality monitoring and propose solutions to improve water quality.
5. Design and manage water systems including the design of stormwater infrastructure.
6. Use Python, ArcGIS, and other coding tools to analyze data and develop solutions.
7. Prepare technical reports, designs, and specifications.
8. Collaborate with a team of engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals on project planning and implementation.
9. Ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
10. Provide guidance and expertise to junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources engineering.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.
4. Proven experience with stormwater management, green infrastructure, water quality monitoring, and water resource planning.
5. Proficient in Python, ArcGIS, and other relevant coding and software tools.
6. Strong knowledge of hydrology, GIS, and water systems design.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work in a team and lead projects.
10. Knowledge of local, state, and federal water regulations.
11. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
