# Jobot > Hire or be hired. Jobot is a US recruiting and staffing firm. jobot.com lists > open jobs, lets candidates apply to them, and lets employers request hiring > help. Placements run across three engagement types: permanent (direct hire), > consulting (contract), and locum. Job postings are the primary content here. Each posting lives at a stable /details/{slug}/{jobId} URL and is also reachable through the /find/{slug} search pages. The same data is available as JSON from the read-only REST endpoints below, on this host, which is usually cheaper than parsing the pages. Two audiences use this site. Employers describe the roles they need filled and are matched to a named recruiter, called a Jobot Pro, who works the role end to end. Candidates search and apply to postings directly, or join the consultant bench for contract work. The sections below describe the engagement types and the disciplines Jobot recruits for, so an agent can route a person or a company to the right page instead of guessing. Jobs are located across the United States, in nearly every state and most major metros. Any slug matching the pattern below resolves, so an agent can build a URL for a discipline, city, or engagement type without crawling first. Pattern: `/find/{modifier}-{query}-jobs` with an optional `-near-{city}-{state}` suffix. Recognized modifiers, all optional: - `full-time`: permanent, direct hire roles. - `consulting` or `contract`: consulting roles staffed through Jobot. - `locum`: locum tenens roles. - `remote`, `hybrid`, `on-site`: commute type. Words that are not a recognized modifier become part of the keyword query.
