Job Details

We are actively seeking a Solar Estimating Manager with a strong background in Utility Scale Solar Projects, particularly those exceeding 100MW. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estimating, bidding, and managing the pre-construction phase of large-scale solar installations. The role requires relocation to Ft. Lauderdale and entails leading and building a team of estimators, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of estimators, ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates for Utility Scale Solar Projects ranging from 100MW to 500MW.
  • Lead, manage, and prepare various types of estimates for solar projects ranging from $10 million to $200 million in size from conception through the start of construction
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive bid packages for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess a strong background in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
  • Demonstrate expertise in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) processes, with a focus on solar project development.
  • Manage bids for large-scale solar projects exceeding 100MW, ensuring precision in estimating costs and timelines.
  • Handle bid packages for 2-3 projects concurrently, demonstrating multitasking abilities and strategic planning.
  • Be a leader or supervisor-level candidate with experience managing teams of more than two people.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, contributing to the growth and development of the estimating team.

Requirements:
  • Willingness to relocate to Ft. Lauderdale.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in estimating and bidding for Utility Scale Solar Projects of 100MW or more.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing teams in a collaborative and efficient manner.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
