Steel Estimator

SUMMARY: As our Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for working alongside the sales team to estimate and prepare estimates as well as collaborate with contractors and subcontractors on their jobs. This is all steel estimating for warehouses, data centers, battery plants, and more.

MUST HAVES:

• Computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Email, etc.
• Experience working with Vendors, Customers, and Contractors
• Experience with reviewing and understanding architectural and structural drawings
• Commercial Steel Estimating.

NICE TO HAVES:

• Tekla EPM Software.

COMPANY / TEAM SIZE:

• 100 people and 9 people on the estimating team.

TYPE OF PROJECTS:

• Ground-up projects ($10 million and greater).

PROJECT SIZES:

• 100+ to 1000+ Tons

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review all materials and information related to the bidding process.
• Accurately build material takeoffs and apply appropriate shop labor.
• Effectively meet deadlines and prioritize jobs based on business needs.
• Ability to collaborate internally to achieve and drive results.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and others when necessary to help prepare an estimate.

EDUCATION & EXPIERNECE:

• 3-5+ years of structural steel estimating experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, this includes both written and oral communication.
• Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, Bluebeam, Tekla EPM
