We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Personal Injury Attorney with 1-5 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of personal injury law, exceptional legal writing skills, and a proven track record in case management. If you are passionate about providing top-notch legal services to clients and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
2. Present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in personal injury litigation.
3. Select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges, and question witnesses during the course of a trial.
4. Study and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
5. Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
6. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
7. Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
8. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
9. Conduct legal research and gather evidence.
10. Ensure a positive client experience through excellent client relations.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of IL
3. 1-5 years of experience as an Attorney.
4. Proven trial experience and strong negotiation skills.
5. Proficient in legal research and legal writing.
6. Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking.
7. Ability to handle a large caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
8. Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and clients.
9. Proficient with case management software.
10. Comprehensive knowledge of personal injury law.
11. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
13. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
