100% Remote - Accountant: Assistant Client Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant - Client Associate to join our dynamic finance industry team. As a permanent member of our team, you will be responsible for providing outsourced accounting services to our clients. You must have at least 3+ years of experience in public accounting, be an excellent communicator, and want to interact with clients to help them solve problems. You will be responsible for handling client inquires, revenue recognition, GAAP, sales & use tax, federal taxation & state income taxes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple client accounts and provide outsourced accounting services to them
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, sales & use tax, federal taxation & state income taxes, and other regulatory requirements
• Handle revenue recognition and ensure accurate and timely billing
• Perform monthly and quarterly close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to clients
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify and implement process improvements
• Train and mentor junior staff members

Qualifications:

• At least 3+ years of experience in public accounting
• Bachelors Degree Required
• CPA license (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, sales & use tax, federal taxation & state income taxes
• Experience with Quickbooks, Bill.com, Gusto, Dext, A2x, inventory management software, and Monday.com
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
