Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive public records research in various databases and online resources.
- Perform due diligence investigations on individuals and corporations to assist in risk assessment and decision making.
- Analyze research data and compile detailed reports to support litigation and other legal proceedings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal regulations and industry trends related to public records and due diligence investigations.
- Collaborate with legal teams to identify research needs and provide insightful data to support case development.
- Ensure all research activities comply with ethical guidelines and legal regulations.
- Regularly update databases with the latest information, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in public records research, due diligence investigations, or open-source intelligence
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field is ideal, but not required
- Proficiency in using various public records databases and online research tools like CLEAR, TLO, Lexis Nexis and other related tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of legal and ethical guidelines related to public records research and investigations.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or similar certification would be a plus.
