Are you a seasoned professional with a knack for investigative research, a keen eye for details, and a passion for justice? We are on the hunt for a Public Records/Due Diligence Researcher in the Legal industry. This is a 100% remote, full-time position offering the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of seasoned legal professionals. You will be responsible for conducting extensive public records searches, performing due diligence investigations, and providing comprehensive reports to support our legal team. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive public records research in various databases and online resources.
  • Perform due diligence investigations on individuals and corporations to assist in risk assessment and decision making.
  • Analyze research data and compile detailed reports to support litigation and other legal proceedings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal regulations and industry trends related to public records and due diligence investigations.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to identify research needs and provide insightful data to support case development.
  • Ensure all research activities comply with ethical guidelines and legal regulations.
  • Regularly update databases with the latest information, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in public records research, due diligence investigations, or open-source intelligence
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field is ideal, but not required
  • Proficiency in using various public records databases and online research tools like CLEAR, TLO, Lexis Nexis and other related tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical guidelines related to public records research and investigations.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or similar certification would be a plus.
