We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced 1st Shift Production Manager to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production department, ensuring that all products are produced efficiently, safely, and meet our high-quality standards. Responsibilities:

As a 1st Shift Production Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of the production department, ensuring that all products are produced to the highest quality standards.
2. Implementing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency and productivity.
3. Ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP, GMPs, and SQF.
4. Managing and developing a team of production workers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
5. Coordinating with other departments, such as Quality Assurance and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth production processes and timely delivery of products.
6. Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
7. Addressing and resolving production issues in a timely and effective manner.
8. Conducting regular staff meetings to communicate production goals and updates.
9. Ensuring all equipment is maintained and functioning properly, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the 1st Shift Production Manager role, you must have the following:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in implementing and monitoring KPIs.
3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP, GMPs, and SQF.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
8. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
