- Have a Safety-First approach– Demonstrate/perform a commitment to safety by actively participating in training, working safely, and continuously working to improve the work environment, while supporting a positive safety culture.
- Inspect, test, and perform preventative maintenance to specified equipment for production or building services.
- Rebuild equipment as necessary, e.g., pumps/rolls/gear-reducers/rotary unions/blowers/choppers/fans/air shafts/clutches.
- Analyze and troubleshoot machinery or process problems as necessary.
- Provide on-call and off-shift support for the facility to include potential work/overtime work on weekends, holidays, and during maintenance shutdowns.
- Have a working knowledge of all procedures necessary to perform equipment and facility maintenance.
- Works with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement improvements including but not limited to Safety, Maintenance, Production, and Engineering.
- Make determinations on equipment malfunctions, solve problems, and recommend solutions for electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems.
- Perform skilled duties on, but not limited to motors, drives, converters, controllers, circuit boards, relays, electronic or electrical components, power distribution systems, lighting, HVAC, and general building utility services.
- Plan, layout, estimate and implement minor and major repairs, changes or installations as needed.
- Work from schedules, drawings, schematics, manuals, written and verbal instructions with standard maintenance practices to provide timely service to all departmental equipment. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to function as part of a team in a high-performance work environment
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Aptitude
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Trade certification in electromechanical maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or similar role.
- Prefer 3+ years’ experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Available to work all shifts as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities, including but not limited to ladders, stairs, mezzanines, and roof.
- Frequently positions self to use/maintain personal protective equipment.
- Comfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc.
