Key Responsibilities & Duties
Qualifications – Needed
- Lead maintenance activities and support the Maintenance Manager in daily operations
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair high-speed packaging and processing equipment
- Perform electrical troubleshooting (110/230/460V systems, motors, relays, panels, wiring)
- Conduct preventive maintenance and schedule work orders
- Troubleshoot and perform minor programming on PLC systems
- Maintain conveyors, wrappers, check-weighers, cartoners, and case packers
- Support facility maintenance including plumbing, lighting, and building systems
- Train employees on equipment safety, lifts, and welding practices
- Assist with wastewater system operations and coverage
- Coordinate and monitor contractors performing maintenance or repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards including LOTO and OSHA guidelines
- Maintain equipment readiness for production and minimize downtime
- Fabricate parts and modify equipment as needed
- Communicate effectively across maintenance, production, sanitation, and leadership teams
Qualifications – Needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Strong background in food manufacturing (USDA or FDA environments)
- Experience with high-speed packaging and conveyor systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs
- Strong understanding of safety protocols (LOTO, OSHA)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
