2nd Shift Production Manager

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with excellent leadership skills and a strong background in manufacturing production. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, making sure that production is cost-effective, products are produced on time for distributors, and that they are of good quality. You will also be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
• Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
• Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
• Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
• Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
• Commit to plant safety procedures.
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
• Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment for at least 3 years.
• Deep knowledge of production management and understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
• Outstanding communication ability and leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to effectively problem-solve and maintain a high level of accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.
• Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
• Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a must.
• BSc/Ba in business administration or relevant field is preferred.
• Certification of Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) will be considered a plus.
