Job Details
We are looking for an experienced Building Controls Account Executive to drive sales growth in the San Jose market. This role focuses on acquiring new business while managing and expanding relationships with owners, facility managers, engineers, mechanical contractors, and property management firms. You will work closely with internal business development and operations teams to deliver innovative Building Automation and Energy Solutions, including new construction projects, retrofits, service repairs, and maintenance agreements.

- Develop estimates, proposals, and bids based on project specifications and customer requirements.
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, referrals, and social media outreach.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and close.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both technical and executive-level clients.
- Maintain detailed activity tracking and pipeline management within CRM systems.
- Attend industry events and actively represent the company in the local market.
- Serve as a consultative partner to clients, providing tailored recommendations to meet facility performance and business goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of commercial HVAC experience with strong knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and standards.
- At least 3 years of Building Automation/Controls sales experience
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Strong understanding of building automation technologies and control system integration.
- Proficient with CRM tools and prospecting techniques.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the area.
