We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant (AP/AR) on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the Accounting and Finance industry. The successful candidate will manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in billing and financial management.

Responsibilities

1. Manage the entire process of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) including 3-way match, vendor and customer interactions, billing, and invoicing.
2. Prepare and issue invoices to customers, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
3. Review and verify invoices and check requests from vendors, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
4. Perform monthly bank settlements by reconciling all accounts receivable and payable transactions.
5. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ad hoc financial reports.
6. Assist with internal and external auditing procedures.
7. Maintain accurate records and control reports for all financial transactions.
8. Ensure compliance with all internal processes and legal requirements.
9. Collaborate with the financial team on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Qualifications

1. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Proficient in AP, AR, 3-way match, vendor and customer interactions, billing, and invoicing.
3. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Excellent analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations.
5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of accounting software.
7. Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
