The Role:
What we are looking for:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including reconciliations, A/P, A/R, and payroll.
- Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing insights to leadership.
- Guide and mentor team members, helping to redistribute transactional workload.
- Serve as a key contact for external auditors and assist with year-end activities.
- Identify process improvements to support scalability and growth.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong experience with accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, general ledger coding, and reconciliations.
- Prior experience in professional services, law, or a similar environment preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and explain financial results.
- A balance of hands-on skills with the ability to step back and guide others.
