We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our high-performing finance team. This is an incredible opportunity to take on a pivotal role in our organization where you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties. This position requires a strong understanding of financial principles and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
  • Administer the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of entries.
  • Maintain and control the chart of accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies.
  • Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
  • Oversee the management of all leases, contracts, and other financial commitments.
  • Implement and adhere to all company financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts and monitor them meticulously.
  • Manage the fund accounting process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Participate in the ongoing development and implementation of organizational strategies and perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
  • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, accounts payable, general ledger, accounts receivable, budgeting, and fund accounting.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
