SUMMARY:
We are looking for a full time tax accountant with 3+ years in public accounting. This person should have experience preparing individual and business tax returns, as well as familiarity with payroll and an understanding of financial statements. Additionally, the candidate should have strong communications skills as they will have direct client contact.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparation and review of income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality tax service.
• Identifying and mitigating tax risks through careful planning and analysis.
• Coordinating and communicating with client personnel to gather tax information and resolve tax-related issues.
• Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and advising clients accordingly.
• Assisting with IRS audit defense including preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
• Assisting clients with bookkeeping and business consulting
• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the tax team (if needed).

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

• 3+ years of public accounting experience required
• Experience with tax returns for individuals and businesses required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
