Accountant

Growing retail/ manufacturing company is seeking an experience accountant. This person will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual accounting tasks are completed as well as partner with the leadership team on process improvement initiatives.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced environment, where you will play a pivotal role in managing and analyzing financial information, ensuring compliance with regulations, and making strategic recommendations based on financial research and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and inventory management. Proficiency in Mandarin and a Bachelor's Degree in a related field are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established GAAP standards.
2. Conduct detailed budget analysis and prepare budget reports to support financial decision-making.
3. Oversee and manage the overall accounting process, including the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
4. Monitor and manage all aspects of the company's inventory, including purchasing, shipping, handling, and storage.
5. Coordinate with external auditors, prepare necessary paperwork for audit, and collaborate on the audit process.
6. Advise management on tax ramifications of business decisions and implement strategies for tax planning and compliance.
7. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actions.
8. Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy.
9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both internal and external, in Mandarin and English.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Proficient understanding of GAAP, budgeting, and financial analysis.
4. Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
5. Proficient in Mandarin, both written and spoken.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong attention to detail with an ability to pinpoint errors and discrepancies.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
10. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
11. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
